Science Grant Scheme

The Edina Trust offers £700 primary school science grants and £500 nursery science grants.

It’s quick and easy to access your Edina funding as it is
non-competitive, meaning grants are guaranteed if your school is located within one of our
current local authority areas. Primary science grants are available in each area for three consecutive years, making up to a total of £2,100 for primary school science.

Schools can use their grants for science resources, gardening equipment, science weeks, science subscriptions, science visits (in or out of school) and improving school grounds for science.

How to Access Your Funding

1. Choose your local authority area from our current eligible areas below.

2. Download a grant form.

3. Fill out the form and send it to the email at the end of the form.

4. We will be in touch to let you know when your grant is paid, or if we need to    check any details with you first.

5. It is up to the school to purchase items/book a visit with the grant.

The Edina Trust has created a range of pre-populated forms with themed equipment lists which schools and nurseries may wish to use. Alternatively, schools and nurseries may wish to create their own equipment list. The Edina Trust, although not able to assess product safety, seeks to ensure that all items in its pre-populated grant forms are from suppliers with a proven track record in supplying safe and reliable equipment to schools and nurseries. However, individual schools and nurseries will have their own local H&S policies and individual circumstances, and are responsible for carrying out their own risk assessments before selecting and using Edina Trust funded science equipment with their pupils. The Trust accepts no liability for any loss, damage or injury arising from the use of equipment or products purchased with its grants.

The deadline to submit your form is 14th June 2024.

However, we recommend accessing your funding today, so you can get your new science resources in school as soon as possible.
