Science Resources for Schools

in collaboration with Scottish Schools Education Research Centre (SSERC)

Edina is proud to support those schools in Scotland who are participating in SSERC's Primary Cluster Programme (PCP). In addition, we are pleased to support up to 100 further schools participating in the Primary Science Teaching Trust Sustain and Extend Programme (PSTT SEP) with easy-to-access £350 grants.

The aim of the grant is to provide hands-on science equipment to help facilitate practical approaches to the learning and teaching of science that supports the Curriculum of Excellence. We will fund a wide range of indoor and outdoor science equipment.

(Please note that we will not approve grants to pay for equipment intended for adult use, or expensive individual electronic devices such as laptops or iPads).

All we ask in return is that, once you have received and had a chance to use the equipment, you submit a short report to let us know the impact that the grant had on your school.

Application Form

Please choose the correct form by selecting your programme from the drop down menu. Once you download and save the correct application form to your computer: complete it, save your changes, and email it to the SSERC Primary Team details of which can be found at the bottom of the form.

If you are having any issues with the application form please contact SSERC or Rebecca Harwood and we will be happy to  assist you with it.

Reporting

Schools are asked to provide a short report about their funded activities/items.

Please let us know if you would be willing to share information about your project with other schools. Photographs are particularly welcomed. Please state clearly if permission is given to the Edina Trust to use them on its website, Twitter, and/or in its newsletters. (Where permission is expressly given photographs will be used for no more than six years after which time they will be deleted.)
