Science Resources for Schools
in collaboration with SSERC
Edina is proud to support those schools in Scotland who are participating in Year 1 of SSERC's Primary Cluster Programme (PCP) in 2021-22. Since professional learning will be taking place online again this year, Edina has funded SSERC directly to provide participating schools with hands-on science equipment resource kits to support the delivery of the three SSERC Meets. Resources will then be put to use with pupils in the classroom.
In addition, we are pleased to support up to 100 further schools participating in Year 2 of SSERC’s Primary Cluster Programme (Sustain and Extend Programme). Schools that have attended three, or more, online PL events, provided by the primary science mentors, can apply for an easy-to-access £350 grant to purchase the primary science resources best suited to their school's needs.
Please download the application form below.
All we ask in return is that, once you have purchased the equipment and put it to use in the classroom, you submit a short report to let us know the impact the grant has had on your school’s primary science teaching and learning.
No individual application forms are required for Year 1 schools during 2021-22 school year as SSERC are distributing resource kits directly to schools.
PCP Year 2 application form is available to download onto your device:
Please return your completed form to the email address detailed at the bottom of the form. You should receive your £350 grant approximately two weeks later.
Schools are asked to provide a short report about their funded activities/items.
Please let us know if you would be willing to share information about your project with other schools. Photographs are particularly welcomed. Please state clearly if permission is given to the Edina Trust to use them on its website, Twitter, and/or in its newsletters. (Where permission is expressly given photographs will be used for no more than six years after which time they will be deleted.)
