Consultancy role for South Ayrshire

An independent Edina consultant is required to actively drive uptake of the Trust’s SGS non-competitive grants available to all state primary and special schools in South Ayrshire. The role will be for three years ( 2020-2023) and will involve up to two days (14 hours) work per month (expenses payable) spread over the year.

You will have a good understanding of primary school science, including knowledge of the curriculum and the resources required to teach the subject effectively. The Edina Trust’s aim is to enhance the teaching of practical, hands on science in primary schools. A good primary science network, including affiliation to primary science organisations such as the ASE  and PSST, is desirable.

This post may suit a retired or part-time practicing primary teacher with a passion for primary science, or an primary science/education consultant. You will be based locally to minimise travel costs incurred when visiting schools (mileage and travel time paid). Initially this role will be carried out remotely until such time as schools are welcoming visitors again.
