Assistant Trust Administrator
Start Date: 4th January 2022
The Assistant Trust Administrator will manage a number of science grant schemes that support science teaching in state primary schools around the UK. We are looking for a conscientious individual who learns quickly. Our ideal candidate will have a science degree (science ‘A’ levels may be considered), a good working knowledge of Word and Excel, a clear writing style with correct grammar and spelling, a keen eye for detail, and some experience of general administration duties.
This is a 17.5 hour post. There is flexibility to work these hours over 3 or 4 days a week (excluding Wednesdays); unpaid time off during the school holidays could be offered to the right candidate.
Location: Blenheim Office Park, Long Hanborough, Oxon, OX29 8LN (within walking distance of Hanborough train station).
Salary: £18K - £19.5K pro rata (depending on qualifications and experience), plus 6% pension contribution.
The Edina Trust aims to enhance the teaching and learning of science at primary school level (see www.edinatrust.org.uk). The successful candidate will join a small team of 13 employees who work for two sister charities registered in Scotland but administered from Oxfordshire: the Edina and Kirkhouse Trusts. Both charities were established with funding from a local science company, and both devote the majority of their funds to science related charitable projects.
