Oxford University Harcourt Arboretum

The Harcourt Arboretum's school programme introduces children to a wide variety of trees from around the world, and a number of different habitats. All the sessions are held outside and are based on the education of sustainable development. Topics include winter traditions and explora-tree.
Oxford University Natural History Museum

The education team, made up of fully qualified teachers, have designed a range of fun hands on sessions, workshops and study days for all key stages. The sessions are available for free to all schools. Topics covered include: dinosaurs and fossils, rocks and minerals, animal adaptations, and materials and their properties.

Shotover Wildlife

Shotover Wildlife has experience of educating and entertaining students of all levels. This includes educational tours of wildlife habitats and interactive sessions in the field, generally associated with flowers and insects. There is also a "the wicked world of bees and wasps" interactive talk for primary school children. The Living Rainforest, Newbury

The Living Rainforest is an indoor greenhouse with free ranging butterflies and birds, alongside plants and animals from across the globe. The centre offers an exciting interactive learning environment tailored to current curriculum requirements and specific needs. Four programmes are available including: amazing adaptations, edible forest, sustainable future and rainforest medicines.

Northmoor Trust

The Northmoor Trust provide FREE shows to primary schools. Specially trained education officers, the 'Energy Busters', visit schools to run assemblies and workshops; helping raise awareness of climate change. Their workshops include building materials and wind-powered cars. Also, the wild waste show's eco-bus acts as on outdoor classroom while our outreach officer runs “hands on” curriculum linked workshops on reducing, reusing, composting and recycling.
