Conwy Gardening Clubs Scheme
Introduction to the Conwy Gardening Club Scheme
How to apply
Eligible Schools
The Trust is working with Conwy Local Authority to develop a grant scheme to support all state primary schools in this area. Initially, pilot schools will explore their needs with the Eco Schools co-ordinator to establish a gardening club in their grounds. The Conwy Gardening Clubs Scheme is a non-competitive grant scheme. Eventually, every eligible state primary school in Conwy can apply for a grant. Pilot schools are guaranteed £150 grant and can bid for an extra £150 grant, and the full £300 will be available if you can make a good case. Information concerning how to apply for a grant and which schools are eligible is listed below.
We have a simple application process. Schools are asked to provide: a brief project description, a breakdown of costs, and a project date.
To apply for a grant please email the following address for an application form:
tanya.gujral@edinatrust.org.uk
Please note: Application forms will ONLY be provided to schools that are eligible.
Schools that receive a grant will be asked to provide a short report about the funded items. The Edina Trust has set aside sufficient resources so that schools applying later in the school year will not be disadvantaged. However, please be aware that the Trust does not fund projects retrospectively.
In Phase 1 (April 2010 - March 2011), the Eco Schools co-ordinator initially recruited 10 pilot schools on to the scheme, and increased this to include an additional 20 schools in June 2010.
In Phase 2 (April 2011 - March 2012), the scheme was rolled out to the remaining 31 primary schools in Conwy.
