Bulb Project
The Edina Trust is working in collaboration with the National Museum of Wales’ ‘Spring Bulbs for Schools’ Project.
The 'Spring Bulbs for Schools' project will give pupils the opportunity to be part of a real science investigation where they will be contributing to the final result. This is a live experiment where there are no known outcomes and no ‘right’ answers.
This project is a long running climate change investigation, currently involving 70 primary schools across Wales. In the collaboration with the Edina Trust, this project is being extended to selected Edina schools in Oxfordshire, Scottish Borders, Conwy and Lancashire.
In addition to this project, Edina schools will complete extension activities that will run alongside the 'Spring Bulbs for Schools' core project.
The National Museum of Wales 'Spring Bulbs for Schools' Core Project
The National Museum of Wales Core Project involves Daffodil and Crocus bulbs being planted in pots. Each child will take repsonsibility for their own pot.
Edina Trust schools will upload their weekly bulb measurements and weather recordings to the National Museum of Wales website, along with the schools participating in the Welsh project. This is the sixth year that the project will run.
Edina Trust pilot schools (as well as participating Welsh schools) will receive the following items:
All schools involved will have access to the National Museum of Wales website.
The Edina Trust Extension Bulb Project
